Job Description

<p> Diakon Behavioral Health Services offers a range of counseling and behavioral services to children, teens, families and adult individuals. Services are provided through counseling centers in Mechanicsburg, Lewisburg, Montoursville, Williamsport, within several public-school buildings, Kennett Square, and Chester County. Specialized programs include family-based mental health services, provided in the community and in-home, addiction counseling, trauma-focused therapy and SPIN, a service designed to assist children and youths who have problematic sexual behaviors. General Responsibilities: </p><ul><li> Responsible for providing clinical services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. </li><li> Coordinates case management on all assigned cases. </li><li> Conducts individual, couple, family, and/or group therapy sessions. </li> </ul> <p> Education/Training: </p><p> Outpatient Mental Health Education and Training : A bachelor’s degree from a college or university that is accredited in a recognized clinical discipline. </p><p> Outpatient Drug &amp; Alcohol Education and Training : A BA or BS degree in psychology, counseling, sociology, or a related field of study required. CADC preferred, CADC eligible; proof of active efforts toward completion of the certificate required. </p> Experience: A minimum of two (2) years' supervised clinical experience in an outpatient setting preferred. ADA: Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, and lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.; visual and auditory skills.
