JUNIOR ESTIMATOR – FREEPORT, NY | CONSTRUCTION

A leading, well-established General Contractor based in Freeport, NY is looking to add a Junior Estimator to its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career construction professional looking to build a long-term career in estimating and preconstruction with an established GC and a strong reputation across the New York market.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced estimators and project teams, gaining exposure to the full estimating process, including:Reviewing plans, specifications and bid documentsPerforming quantity takeoffs and preparing estimatesSoliciting and reviewing subcontractor/vendor pricingAssisting with bid preparation and proposal submissionsSupporting value engineering and cost analysisReviewing scopes of work and identifying potential risksAssisting with change order pricing and project cost analysisWorking closely with Project Managers, Superintendents and subcontractorsDeveloping strong knowledge of construction costs, materials and means & methods
Background
Heavy Civil experience would be a strong bonus, but is NOT essential.Candidates with experience in areas such as:General ConstructionHeavy CivilPlumbingMechanicalMEP
You may currently be working as a Junior Estimator, Assistant Estimator, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, Assistant PM, or similar, or be looking to make the move from the field into estimating.
