Job Description
Salary: $75,000 - 95,000 per year Requirements:
- Hands-on coding experience gained through coursework, personal projects, or internships
- Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and web or backend development
- Ability to learn quickly and work within an Agile team

- Ability to pass a coding challenge, background check, and drug screening
- Helpful experience includes AI-assisted development projects, cloud services, databases, or CI/CD
- Interest in security, privacy, and handling sensitive data
- Use large language models and automation tools to advance AI-assisted DevSecOps practices and accelerate secure containerization of legacy applications while maintaining security compliance
- Develop and maintain AI-enhanced CI/CD pipelines that generate security policies, container configurations, and infrastructure-as-code templates based on application needs and best practices
- Use AI coding assistants for implementation, refactoring, and documentation in accordance with team guidelines
- Generate unit and integration tests, improve test coverage, and reduce defects
- Accelerate pull requests with AI-supported reviews, summaries, and risk notes
- Use AI to search logs and documentation, troubleshoot issues, and unblock work
- Collaborate with product, design, security, and compliance teams to deliver production-ready increments
- Develop in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and APIs across the software development lifecycle, from concept and design through testing and delivery
- Design, build, and deliver high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems
- Participate in technical solution and design discussions
- Conduct proofs of concept and develop comprehensive solutions throughout the development lifecycle

We hire entry-level software engineers for a 10-week paid, remote training program, followed by on-site placement with a client engineering team. Training includes Agile sprints, code reviews, realistic tickets, AI-assisted development, secure and compliant AI use, code quality, SDLC automation, and cloud deployment basics, and concludes with a production-style capstone. On assignment, youll work with technologies that may include Java or Python, Spring Boot or Node, REST and gRPC, React, SQL, GitHub, CI/CD, Docker, AWS or GCP, and AI development tools. We are Uptime Crew, a technology-focused talent provider across software engineering, cloud, DevSecOps, networking, cybersecurity, AI, business intelligence, data science, and machine learning; our training uses realistic client environments. Compensation is $75,000–$95,000 per year.
