This role focuses primarily on yard operations, with occasional trailer shuttles to Modesto and locations throughout the Bay Area. The position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule and the potential to transition from temporary to permanent employment. Pay Schedule Pay: $26.76 per hour Estimated weekly gross: $1,350 Hours per week: 40 Schedule: Monday through Friday Shift: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Overtime: Approximately 1 to 2 hours per day, based on operational needs Employment type: Temp to perm Start date: August 10, 2026 Job Details Route type: Local Freight: General freight Handling: No-touch freight Equipment: Yard tractor and commercial vehicles Move, spot, and position loaded and empty trailers throughout the yard and at dock doors. Shuttle trailers between the Patterson facility, a Modesto warehouse, and Bay Area locations as needed. Key Responsibilities Operate a yard tractor and commercial vehicles safely within the facility and on public roadways when required. Couple and uncouple tractors and trailers. Chock trailers when positioned for loading or unloading. Complete pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections. Communicate with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and management. Follow facility safety procedures and DOT requirements. Minimum Requirements Valid Class A CDL. 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience. Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card. Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years. Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
