About the Opportunity AnthroMed Education is seeking a School Occupational Therapist to provide FMLA coverage during the 2026–2027 school year in Plymouth, MN. This part-time opportunity is 4 days per week and will support students receiving Setting IV special education services. In this role, you'll provide occupational therapy services designed to help students build functional, sensory, fine motor, self-regulation, and self-care skills needed to participate and succeed throughout the school day. You'll work closely with special education teachers, classroom staff, families, and related service providers to provide individualized, student-centered support. Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to students receiving Setting IV special education services.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with students' IEP goals and educational needs.
- Address functional, fine motor, sensory, self-care, and participation skills within the school environment.
- Collaborate with special education teachers, classroom staff, families, and related service providers to promote student success.
- Recommend adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and sensory strategies to support student access and participation.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and required IEP paperwork.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute meaningful recommendations regarding student needs and occupational therapy services.
- Provide consultation and support to classroom staff to help carry over therapeutic strategies throughout the school day.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current or eligible Minnesota Occupational Therapist licensure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience is preferred, particularly experience supporting students with significant disabilities; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Competitive hourly rate of $45.00-$60.00/hr
