IT Infor M3/ION System Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Infor M3, WMS/ION Consultant

with 10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years specializing in Infor M3/Movex ERP solutions. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end ERP initiatives across cloud (multi-tenant) environments, architect complex ION-based integrations, and deliver scalable, automated business process solutions across Sales, Distribution, Supply Chain and Service industries.

This role requires deep expertise in Infor M3, WMS architecture, ION platform, MEC/IEC integrations, EDI development, enterprise API strategy, Infor GENAI, and Velocity suite experience.

Key Responsibilities

Infor M3 & ION Architecture

• Lead system analysis, design, and development of integration solutions between Infor M3 ERP and external systems including WMS, EDI networks, trading partners, and third-party applications. (e.g., ShopiFy, NuOrder, Banks, PIM)
• Architect and implement integrations using Infor ION Data Flows, Connection Points, Mappings, Monitors, Workflows, and APIs.
• Design and configure Business Object Documents (BODs), event rules, and event analytics.
• Develop and maintain custom APIs, MI transactions, Interface programs, Velocity and GenAI.

Integration Development

• Design and build interfaces using Infor Enterprise Collaborator (IEC/MEC).
• Develop custom EDI integrations connecting Infor M3 to external trading partner networks. (e.g., SPS, Orderful, OpenText)
• Implement REST APIs and data exchange using XML, XSD, and JSON.
• Perform unit testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Configure modules including:
• Customer Order Management (COM)
• Supply Chain Management (SCM)
• Procurement (PO)
• Finance (AP/AR)

Customization & Development

• Develop custom enhancements using:
• Infor M3 Java
• MI Programming
• H5 Script
• Embedded SQL
• GenAI
• Velocity Agents

Business Process Automation

• Automate cross-functional workflows across Sales, Production, Inventory, Shipping, and Finance.
• Design monitoring frameworks and alerts to ensure process integrity.
• M3 and WMS Agents

Client Engagement & Leadership

• Collaborate with business process owners to gather and document requirements.
• Prepare technical specification documentation
• Provide training to end users and process owners.
• Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and solution validation workshops.
• Maintain strong stakeholder communication and client relationship management.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with Infor M3
• Extensive experience with Infor ION (Cloud & On-Prem)
• Strong expertise in MEC/IEC integration development
• Experience in EDI implementation and trading partner integrations
• Deep knowledge of M3 architecture and BOD framework
• Strong API development and integration experience (REST)
• Experience in Velocity Suite
• Excellent documentation and analytical skills
