We’re seeking an energetic, experienced individual to serve as a Technical Director. You will be responsible for supporting the Production Services and Client Engagement teams as we bring our projects to life. You will work alongside these teams to specify and order gear, advise on staffing decisions, complete technical drawings and documentation, and execute projects onsite.

As an AP Live Technical Director, you will:
Design and communicate production plans to internal and external teamsExecute productions onsite alongside project managers, freelancers, and producersCollaborate with vendors and clients to build and manage ordersAdvise on and direct internal projects involving production technology
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience in technical roles, project management, or equivalent experience, preferably within the live events, trade show, or experiential marketing sectors. Onsite technical experience with live production lighting, video, and/or audio is also preferred.Self-Motivated & Goal-Oriented: Proven track record of working independently with a drive to exceed expectations. Highly motivated to succeed in a fast-paced, competitive environment.Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with the skill to articulate ideas clearly to clients and internal teams. Time Management & Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Tech-Savvy: CAD proficiency (Vectorworks). Comfortable and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Flex Rental Solutions, and Google Workspace. Basic IT, signal flow, and computer technology experience expected. xzbcwsv Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel to events and meetings on a regular basis.
