Technical Lead - SAP

Role Purpose

Hands-on SAP technical lead — S/4HANA and ECC landscape operations under RISE/GROW — keeping release adoption on time with zero regression.

Key Responsibilities

• Run S/4HANA and ECC landscape operations — Basis administration, HANA database operations, transports, patching and upgrade cycles.
• Own the release-adoption cadence — feature packs and RISE/GROW release waves landed on time with regression safety.
• Operate SAP ALM — Solution Manager (ChaRM, test suite), SAP Cloud ALM and Focused Run monitoring/alerting at managed-service scale.
• Engineer integration and extension hygiene — BTP Integration Suite, clean-core extensibility governance and Fiori/UI5 operations.
• Automate SAP operations — EarlyWatch Alert remediation, job scheduling, self-heal runbooks feeding the ZeroTicket plane.
• Support the SAPOps Product Owner with technical scoping, estimation and feasibility for estate-based pricing.

Hard Skills

• SAP Basis & HANA operations — SAP NetWeaver administration, SAP HANA database administration, OS/DB migrations; SAP Certified Technology Associate (S/4HANA System Administration) calibre.
• S/4HANA landscape engineering — system conversion vs. selective data transition, feature-pack and upgrade cycles across S/4HANA Public Cloud, Private Cloud and on-premise.
• RISE/GROW technical operations — operating hyperscaler-hosted SAP estates under RISE with SAP (Private Cloud) and GROW with SAP (Public Cloud) models.
• SAP ALM tooling — Solution Manager ChaRM/test suite/business-process monitoring, SAP Cloud ALM and Focused Run for fleet-scale monitoring.
• Transport & release engineering — CTS+/gCTS transport management, retrofit handling and release-wave orchestration with zero-regression targets.
• BTP & clean core — SAP BTP Integration Suite/Extension Suite, Fiori/UI5 administration, clean-core extensibility governance.
• Performance & capacity — HANA sizing and tuning, workload analysis, EarlyWatch Alert-driven remediation.
• Compliance context — SOX/ITGC change control for financial landscapes; GxP/validated-system awareness for regulated estates.
