About Company An emerging fintech platform has been quietly reshaping the capital Job Description About the Role • We are looking for a qualified and experienced CA Inter / Chartered Accountant with 3–7 years of relevant experience to manage taxation, statutory compliances and day-to-day accounting activities for the group companies. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in GST, TDS and other statutory compliances, along with a good understanding of accounting, reconciliations and treasury operations. • Experience in an NBFC, financial services or fintech organisation will be preferred. GST & Indirect Taxation • Computation, review and timely filing of GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B. • Preparation and filing of GST Annual Return (GSTR-9) and other applicable GST compliances. • Preparation and review of GST/ITC reconciliations with books of accounts and GST portal data. • Reconciliation of ITC with GSTR-2B and follow-up with vendors for missing or incorrect invoices/ITC. • Coordination with vendors for correction of GST-related discrepancies and ensuring timely compliance. • Handling GST notices, queries and correspondence received from tax authorities, wherever applicable. TDS & Other Direct Tax Compliances • Review and validation of data for quarterly TDS returns – Form 24Q and Form 26Q – for all group companies. • Computation and timely filing of quarterly TDS returns. • Reconciliation of TDS payable, deductions and challans with books and TRACES. • Identification and resolution of TDS defaults, short deductions, interest and late filing issues on the TRACES portal. • Coordination for correction statements and resolution of TDS-related discrepancies. • Handling and responding to notices, communications and queries received from the Income Tax Department and other statutory authorities. Professional Tax, LWF & Other Statutory Compliances • Computation, filing and payment of Professional Tax (PT) returns. • Computation, filing and payment of Labour Welfare Fund (LWF) and other applicable statutory dues. • Ensuring timely completion of all applicable periodic statutory compliances. Accounting & Finance • Handling day-to-day accounting activities and ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions. • Preparation and review of Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS). • Reconciliation of various ledger accounts, including vendor, customer, statutory and bank accounts. • Assisting in month-end and year-end closing activities. • Supporting preparation of MIS and other management reports. • Assisting in treasury operations, including monitoring of bank balances, fund movements, investments and related reconciliations. • Coordination with auditors, consultants, banks and other external stakeholders as required. • Good understanding of financial reporting, consolidation and inter-company reconciliations. • Preparation and review of quarterly standalone and consolidated financial statements for the group companies. • Preparation of monthly MIS and management reports, including analysis of key financial and operational metrics. Tax Notices & Departmental Matters • Monitor and coordinate responses to notices and communications received from GST, Income Tax, TRACES and other statutory authorities. • Maintain proper documentation and records of tax filings, reconciliations, notices and responses. • Coordinate with external tax consultants and advisors, wherever required. Candidate Profile • CA Inter / Chartered Accountant with approximately 3–7 years of relevant experience. • Strong hands-on knowledge of GST, TDS and statutory compliances. • Good understanding of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-2B, TDS 24Q/26Q and TRACES. • Practical experience in GST and ITC reconciliation and vendor follow-up. • Good knowledge of accounting principles and day-to-day accounting processes. • Working knowledge of BRS, ledger reconciliation and treasury operations. • Experience in handling tax notices and departmental correspondence will be an added advantage. • Prior experience in an NBFC, fintech or financial services organisation is preferred. • Strong analytical, reconciliation and problem-solving skills. • Good communication and coordination skills. • Ability to independently manage multiple statutory compliances and meet strict deadlines. • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems. Key Attributes • The candidate should be hands-on, detail-oriented, deadline-driven and capable of independently managing taxation and statutory compliance activities while also supporting the broader finance and accounting function.
