We are seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to design, build, automate, and support secure and scalable AWS infrastructure. This is an on-site opportunity in Tampa, Florida, ideal for someone with strong hands-on AWS experience and a background in infrastructure as code, networking, security, automation, and cloud operations.Job DetailsPay Rate: $75 per hourLocation: Tampa, Florida, on-siteEmployment Type: 6 month contract to hireEducation: High school diploma or equivalentWhat You’ll DoDesign, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure using services such as EC2, S3, EBS, Elastic Load Balancing, and Route 53.Build and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform while supporting automated deployment and configuration processes.Configure and troubleshoot AWS networking, including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPNs, DNS, and hybrid cloud connectivity.Implement cloud security and governance using AWS Organizations, Control Tower, IAM, Security Hub, GuardDuty, MFA, and cross-account access.Support monitoring, logging, backup, and operational processes with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Systems Manager, and AWS Backup.Develop automation using AWS CLI and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.Support CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and DevOps practices for infrastructure deployments.Apply AWS Cloud Adoption Framework and Well-Architected Framework principles to improve resiliency, security, performance, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.Help maintain AWS landing zones and standardized cloud environments across accounts.Job RequirementsStrong hands-on experience building and supporting AWS cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and load balancing.Experience with Terraform, infrastructure as code, Git, CI/CD, AWS CLI, and automation using Python or PowerShell.Strong knowledge of AWS networking, including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Route 53, Direct Connect, VPN, and hybrid connectivity.Experience with AWS security, governance, identity, and access management, including IAM, federation/SSO, MFA, Organizations, Control Tower, Security Hub, and GuardDuty.Ability to work on-site in Tampa, Florida.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Microsoft Azure.Experience with Ansible or similar configuration management tools.Kubernetes and Amazon EKS experience.Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization practices. xzbcwsv Understanding of AWS landing zones, resilient architecture, and Well-Architected Framework principles.
