Job Description

Overview Application Build the Financial Foundation of a High-Growth Company Move Concierge is building a best-in-class Finance & Accounting organization to support our continued growth, and we're looking for a highly motivated Senior Staff Accountant to help us get there. This is more than a traditional accounting role. You'll play a key role in building scalable financial processes, strengthening internal controls, improving reporting, and leveraging automation and AI to drive efficiency. You'll work closely with the Controller and partner across the organization on initiatives that improve financial operations and support strategic business decisions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and wants exposure to a wide variety of accounting disciplines, including multi-entity accounting, process automation, financial systems, acquisitions, technical accounting, and strategic projects. The Senior Staff Accountant will play a critical role in the close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, internal controls, and initiatives that strengthen the company's accounting function as the business continues to grow. What You'll Do Financial Close & Reporting Own key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process across multiple entities. Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Perform intercompany accounting and reconciliations, including consolidation eliminations. Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and communicate findings to leadership. Ensure the general ledger and financial reporting comply with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies. Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and supporting analyses. Operational Accounting Manage fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet accounts. Support accounts receivable and accounts payable activities, including customer invoicing, collections support, invoice processing, and vendor reconciliations. Assist with annual audits, tax filings, and external reporting requirements. Process Improvement & Technology Evaluate accounting processes and implement improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Develop, document, and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Drive continuous improvement through automation, AI, and technology solutions that reduce manual work while maintaining strong financial controls. Participate in ERP implementations, financial system enhancements, and cross-functional process improvement initiatives. Business Partnership Partner with Finance to support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning. Support acquisitions, integrations, technical accounting research, and other strategic business initiatives. Collaborate with leaders across the organization to improve financial processes and reporting. Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff as the Finance team continues to grow. What You Bring Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Five or more years of progressive accounting experience; seven or more years preferred. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting. Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes. Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online or similar platforms. Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications CPA license or active progress toward obtaining a CPA. Public accounting experience. Experience in a multi-entity accounting environment, including intercompany accounting and consolidations. Experience implementing or optimizing ERP and financial systems. Demonstrated success improving accounting processes through automation and technology. Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. Experience leveraging AI and emerging technologies to improve accounting workflows while maintaining strong internal controls. Why Join Move Concierge?
