Fund Manager – Event-Driven Investing

Location: Mumbai

We are hiring an experienced Fund Manager with a strong track record in institutional investing and event-driven equity strategies. This role is suited to investment professionals who have successfully managed large institutional portfolios and can consistently generate superior risk-adjusted returns through high-conviction investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee large institutional investment portfolios while delivering consistent risk-adjusted performance. Develop and execute investment strategies aligned with fund objectives and changing market conditions. Identify and capitalize on event-driven investment opportunities, including mergers, demergers, buybacks, open offers, delistings, restructurings, and other corporate actions. Conduct in-depth company, sector, and macroeconomic research to generate investment ideas. Drive portfolio construction, asset allocation, and risk management decisions. Monitor portfolio performance and ensure compliance with investment mandates and regulatory requirements. Present investment recommendations, portfolio reviews, and market outlooks to senior stakeholders and investment committees.

Requirements 5–8 years of experience in Fund Management, Asset Management, PMS, Mutual Funds, AIFs, or Institutional Investments. Mandatory experience managing or co-managing investment portfolios exceeding ₹10,000 Crore AUM. Demonstrated expertise in event-driven investing and corporate action-based investment strategies. Strong understanding of equity markets, valuation techniques, portfolio construction, and risk management. Experience with leading AMCs, PMS platforms, Mutual Funds, AIFs, Insurance Funds, or Institutional Investment firms. Proven ability to generate consistent alpha and deliver superior risk-adjusted returns. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. MBA (Finance), CFA, CA, FRM, or equivalent qualification preferred.

Additional Information Location: Mumbai. Compensation is flexible and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, suitability, and overall fit for the role.
