Job Description
The Area Sales Manager, based at the Head Office, will be responsible for driving TMT sales and business growth across West Bengal and Bihar . The role involves developing sales strategies, managing key accounts and distributors, leading and monitoring the sales team, expanding market presence, and identifying new business opportunities. The position will also track market trends and competitor activities, coordinate with internal teams, and provide regular sales forecasts, MIS, and performance updates to management.
Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Planning
- Formulate and execute sales plans to achieve targets
- Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed
Team Leadership & Management
- Recruit, train, and coach sales personnel
- Set targets, monitor performance, and conduct performance reviews
Business Development & Key Account Management
- Develop relationships with key clients and distributors
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
Market Analysis & Reporting
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback
- Prepare MIS, sales forecasts, and performance reports
Coordination & Compliance
- Work with marketing and operations teams on campaigns, promotions, and product launches
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical practices, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (MBA Preferred)
Experience
- 8 years of progressive sales experience. Previous experience in TMT Sales
- Minimum 2 years in a managerial role
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and revenue growth
- Experience in key account management, team leadership, and territory development
