A highly regarded and growing firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership on critical financial reporting initiatives, process improvements, and audit-related activities while contributing to the continued growth and sophistication of the accounting function.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and support quarterly and annual financial reporting packages in accordance with GAAP.Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements.Partner with finance leadership to improve reporting processes, and workflow efficiency.Coordinate with external auditors and assist with audit requests, testing, and year-end deliverables.Help maintain consistency and accuracy across reporting processes and financial statement presentations.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting required.CPA certification or progress toward obtaining a CPA is strongly preferred.4+ years of accounting, financial reporting, audit, or corporate accounting experience.Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools.Why Join?Hybrid schedule with 4 days per week in the officeExceptional healthcare, retirement, and wellness benefitsGenerous PTO and family leave programsCollaborative and supportive leadership teamStable and growing organization with long-term career growth opportunitiesAdditional RequirementsCandidates must currently reside in the Chicago area.Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.No current or future employment sponsorship will be provided.
