Assistant Fashion Designer

Location: Mayapuri, New Delhi Company: Tailorworks Company Role Overview Tailorworks is looking for a creative and detail oriented Designer to lead bespoke design projects for our luxury B2C clientele. The ideal candidate will combine a refined sense of style, deep fabric knowledge, and strong client-handling skills to craft custom menswear pieces that reflect individuality, precision, and craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop custom collections including suits, sherwanis, bandhgalas, tuxedos, and contemporary ethnic wear. Interact directly with clients to understand their preferences, body types, and event requirements to curate personalized looks. Collaborate closely with the production, tailoring, and quality teams to ensure the final garment aligns perfectly with the approved design. Select fabrics, trims, and embellishments aligned with the brand’s luxury bespoke aesthetic. Stay updated with global trends while maintaining the Tailorworks design language. Coordinate with the styling and photography teams during shoots and brand campaigns. Ensure timely delivery of samples and final garments while maintaining fit, finish, and quality standards. Contribute to seasonal concept development and design planning for upcoming collections. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in designing (bespoke or couture experience preferred). Strong portfolio showcasing ethnic, formal, and fusion menswear. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CLO3D (preferred). Excellent knowledge of fabrics, colors, silhouettes, and detailing. Strong interpersonal and client communication skills. Ability to manage deadlines and coordinate efficiently across departments.
