Job Summary

MNR College of Pharmacy is seeking an experienced and academically accomplished Professor to contribute to teaching, research, academic administration, student development, and institutional growth. The ideal candidate should have 10–15 years of relevant academic experience , hold a Ph.D. in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences , and demonstrate a strong record of teaching, research publications, academic leadership, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Academic Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lectures, practical sessions, tutorials, and seminars for undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy students.
• Develop and update course content, lesson plans, teaching materials, and laboratory activities.
• Implement innovative and student-centered teaching methodologies.
• Conduct internal assessments, examinations, evaluations, and academic reviews.
• Mentor students in academic, professional, and career-related matters.
• Guide students in projects, dissertations, internships, and research activities.

2. Research & Development

• Lead and undertake independent and collaborative research in the area of specialization.
• Publish research findings in reputed national and international peer-reviewed journals.
• Guide Ph.D., postgraduate, and undergraduate research projects, as applicable.
• Develop research proposals and seek funding from government and other recognized funding agencies.
• Encourage interdisciplinary research and collaboration with academic institutions and industry.
• Participate in national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, and faculty development programmes.
• Support the development of patents, copyrights, publications, and other research outputs.

3. Academic Leadership

• Participate in curriculum development, academic planning, and departmental activities.
• Coordinate and monitor departmental teaching and academic activities.
• Lead departmental committees and contribute to institutional committees when assigned.
• Support accreditation, academic audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Maintain academic records, course files, research documentation, and other institutional records.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of teaching and learning standards.

4. Student Development

• Provide academic and research mentorship to students.
• Encourage participation in conferences, competitions, seminars, workshops, and professional activities.
• Assist students with career guidance, higher education opportunities, and industry exposure.
• Promote professional ethics, research integrity, and lifelong learning among students.

5. Institutional & Professional Responsibilities

• Represent the institution at academic and professional forums when required.
• Establish and maintain collaborations with pharmaceutical industries, research organizations, hospitals, and academic institutions.
• Participate in faculty development and professional training programmes.
• Contribute to institutional growth, academic excellence, and quality-improvement initiatives.
• Perform other academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the Principal/Management.

Eligibility & Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Pharmacy / Pharmaceutical Sciences from a recognized university or institution.
• Master's degree in Pharmacy or an appropriate specialization as required for the position.
• 10–15 years of relevant teaching/research/academic experience in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Strong academic and research profile with publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals.
• Demonstrated experience in student/project/research guidance.
• Knowledge of current pharmacy education, research methodologies, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Candidates with experience in academic administration, accreditation, funded research projects, patents, or industry collaboration will be preferred.

Preferred Profile

The preferred candidate will be an experienced Ph.D. holder with 10–15 years of experience in Pharmacy education and research , with a demonstrated record of academic leadership, quality research publications, student mentoring, and contribution to institutional development.
