Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Speech Language Pathologist based at Vadakekad in Thrissur.

The Speech Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in children, using evidence-based and multisensory approaches aligned with the curriculum.

Daily responsibilities include conducting individual and group therapy sessions, creating and updating individualized treatment plans, monitoring progress, and documenting assessments and interventions.

The role involves collaborating closely with special educators, caregivers, and shadow teachers, and providing guidance to families to support therapy goals at home and in school.

The Speech Language Pathologist will also participate in interdisciplinary meetings, contribute to caregiver and teacher training programs, and support the creation of an inclusive, child-centered environment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to assess, plan, and deliver effective interventions in Speech Therapy and management of Communication Disorders .
  • Knowledge and experience in treating Language Disorders and supporting language development across diverse learning needs.
  • Clinical skills in managing Dysphagia and related swallowing difficulties in pediatric populations.
  • Proficiency in evaluating and improving speech clarity, articulation, and fluency using evidence-based techniques.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Speech Language Pathology, Audiology, or a related field; valid professional licensure or registration as required.
  • Experience working with children in special education or pediatric clinical settings, preferably in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong observation, documentation, and case management skills, with attention to ethical and regulatory standards.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with families, educators, and other professionals.
  • Ability to adapt therapy methods to multisensory, inclusive classrooms and culturally diverse environments.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and openness to implementing globally recognized best practices.
