Job Exempt: No Work Shift: Varied Days and Hours (United States of America) Responsibilities:

Meets and demonstrates competency in all Pharmacy Technician I requirements.
Successfully completes required training and maintains competency in one or more of the following areas:
Sterile medication preparation
Pediatric sterile and nonsterile medication preparation
Controlled substance inventory, distribution, and disposal
Ensures compliance with the department’s Controlled Substances Compliance Plan.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED
Certified Pharmacy Technician-PTCB
Or, Certified Pharmacy Technician-NHA
Specialized, short-term training in the areas of pharmacy law, practice standards, terminology, pharmacy math, drug preparation, dosage forms, and trade/generic names.
Successful completion of PHS Sterile Products Compounding Competency
At least one year of experience in pharmacy or completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program.
