This facility operates as a Level III Trauma Center, providing comprehensive surgical and trauma services to the patient population served. Clinicians will provide general surgery trauma call coverage on 24-hour shifts at an on-site Level III Trauma facility, with scheduling structured primarily around long weekends (Thursday/Friday through Sunday/Monday), beginning December 2026 on an ongoing basis. Primary responsibilities include performing general surgery and trauma procedures, rounding on inpatient cases (volume of 8-10 inpatients and 4-5 surgeries per shift), and maintaining continuous availability for both scheduled and emergent surgical needs throughout each assigned call period. All clinical documentation must be completed using the EPIC EMR system. Board certification in General Surgery, an active state or Compact license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and prescriptive authority are required for this assignment.
