Director of Technology Business Operations (SENIOR PUBLIC SERVICE ADMINISTRATOR)

The Illinois Department of Early Childhood seeks a Director of Technology Business Operations to lead IT governance, compliance, and technology support services. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, this role develops systems ensuring strong audit, cybersecurity, and operational compliance across the agency while coordinating with the Department of Innovation and Technology to provide reliable technology services that enable staff to administer programs for families with young children.

Key qualifications:

• Four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in contract management, procurement support, fiscal oversight, or program administration in a public or business organization
• Three years of professional experience conducting vendor/supplier performance and compliance research and providing recommendations
• Three years of professional experience planning for effective and efficient utilization of program resources and aligning goals with organizational objectives
• Three years of professional experience developing vendor performance tracking strategies and collaborating on vendor selection processes
• Three years of professional experience managing post-contract execution procurement actions including amendments, change orders, and renewals
• Ability to successfully pass criminal history check through Illinois State Police and Child Abuse and Neglect Tracking System background check
