• To ensure reliable operation of theplant through better maintenance of the plant equipment.

Job Description

• Supervise preventive,predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment across the cementplant.
• Ensure reliableoperation of motors, transformers, generators, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, softstarters, and electrical distribution systems.
• Maintain electricalequipment installed in crushers, raw mills, cement mills, kiln systems, packingplants, and material handling conveyors.
• Troubleshootelectrical faults and minimize unplanned equipment downtime.
• Monitor equipmenthealth, identify recurring failures, and implement permanent correctiveactions.
• Ensure timelymaintenance of HT/LT motors, electrical panels, busbars, circuit breakers, andprotection systems.
• Monitor plant powerdistribution systems, including HT/LT substations, transformers, and powerfactor correction systems.
• Ensure the properfunctioning of electrical protection relays, circuit breakers, and interlockingsystems.
• Monitor powerconsumption and identify opportunities to reduce specific power consumption(kWh/ton of cement).
• Optimize the operationof motors, VFDs, and other energy-intensive equipment.
• Develop and implementannual, monthly, and weekly electrical maintenance plans.
• Analyze equipmentfailure history and implement root cause analysis (RCA) for major breakdowns.
• Conduct thermography,insulation resistance testing, vibration monitoring coordination, and othercondition-monitoring activities.
• Maintain criticalspare parts inventory and ensure the availability of essential electricalcomponents.
• Support plannedshutdowns, annual overhauls, and major maintenance activities.
• Investigate electricalincidents and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Prepare electricalmaintenance budgets, annual maintenance plans, and spare parts requirements.
• Monitor maintenanceKPIs, including equipment availability, MTBF, MTTR, and electrical energyconsumption.
• Installation, testing,and commissioning of new electrical equipment and plant expansion projects.
• Ensure proper testingand commissioning of motors, transformers, switchgear, protection relays, andVFDs.
• Enforce electricalsafety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), permit-to-work, andisolation practices.
• Ensure compliance withapplicable electrical codes, plant safety procedures, and statutoryrequirements.
• Conduct electricalsafety inspections and ensure proper earthing, grounding, and protectionsystems.

Experience and Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from HEC recognizedUniversity/Institute.
• 8 to10 years of relevant experience
