ResponsibilitiesAdvise clients on sophisticated real estate financing and investment transactionsDraft and negotiate real estate secured loan documentsDraft and negotiate joint venture, partnership, and operating agreementsReview title commitments, recorded documents, and surveysOversee and coordinate title and survey review with paralegalsWork on transactions involving a variety of real estate asset classes, including multifamily, office, hotel, and industrial propertiesCollaborate with attorneys and clients on complex financing structures
The underlying practice represents lenders, investors, and syndicators in real estate financings, including transactions involving low-income housing, historic rehabilitation, new markets, energy, and other state and federal tax credit programs.
Qualifications7+ years of relevant legal experienceStrong and recent real estate transactional experienceExperience with real estate lending and/or joint venture financingExperience drafting senior real estate secured loan documents and/or real estate joint venture agreementsExperience reviewing title, survey, and recorded real estate documentsTax credit financing experience is highly valuedStrong writing skills and academic credentialsActive law license in the state corresponding with the attorney's office location
Compensation$260,000 - $320,000, with final compensation dependent on experience, qualifications, and performance. Bonus potential and a comprehensive benefits package are also available.
