Role Description The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for overseeing and managing the organization’s financial accounting and reporting activities. This role includes maintaining general ledgers, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping in compliance with relevant accounting standards. The Senior Accountant will handle budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and support financial planning for educational programs, products, and outreach initiatives. Day-to-day tasks also involve coordinating audits, ensuring timely tax filings, monitoring internal controls, and implementing process improvements to strengthen financial governance. The role collaborates closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making and sustainable growth.

- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, along with advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and experience coordinating external and internal audits.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and present financial insights clearly.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA) are highly beneficial.
- Experience in education, technology, or non-profit sectors, and familiarity with project-based accounting or grant management, is an advantage.
