Construction Project Manager

Summit Design + Build is actively seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Chicago, IL. This role is ideal for someone with strong multi-family construction experience who can lead projects from start to finish and work closely with owners, consultants, and trade partners.

Responsibilities:Manage all phases of the construction process from preconstruction through closeoutLead internal teams, including Project Engineers and Project CoordinatorsMaintain constant communication with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractorsEnsure projects stay on track with budgets, schedules, and quality standardsSupport bid/estimating efforts, manage buyout, and oversee subcontractor selectionLead weekly construction meetings and maintain safety and quality expectations
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field8–10 years of project management experience in multi-family/commercial constructionStrong multi-family project experience is requiredExperience on large-scale projects (ex: $10M+ / $50M+) is a plusFamiliarity with the Chicago construction market is a plusStrong decision-making skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Sage CRE 300, and On-Screen Takeoff is preferred

Salary Range:$110k – $145k per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
