About this role: Intermountain Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our established Cardiology team at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver , Colorado . In this role, you will collaborate with a highly respected team of 7 general and interventional cardiologists and 6 Advanced Practice Providers , caring for patients across both the inpatient and outpatient settings. - Practice at Saint Joseph Hospital , a premier cardiovascular care destination in downtown Denver.
- Work four 10-hour weekday shifts with no call and no weekend responsibilities .
- Round on general and interventional cardiology patients in the hospital.
- Perform pre-procedure evaluations and workups for cardiac catheterization cases.
- Remove pericardial drains and temporary pacemakers as clinically appropriate.
- Transition to outpatient clinic responsibilities once inpatient rounding is complete.
- Conduct follow-up visits and supervise outpatient treadmill stress testing.
- Enjoy a manageable patient volume with exposure to a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions and advanced therapies.
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program, required
- Valid license/certification as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Colorado or able to obtain, required
- DEA and prescriptive authority, required
- BLS and ACLS, required
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience working as an NP or PA in a cardiology setting, required
