Physical Therapist Manager | Outpatient Clinic Leadership

About the RoleYou'll oversee daily clinic operations and lead a team of rehabilitation professionals. You'll still take part in patient assessment and treatment while setting direction for the department. You'll build rehab programs, mentor clinicians, keep the clinic compliant and cost-effective, and make sure every patient gets a consistently high standard of care.
What You'll DoPut clinic policies and procedures into practice across all physical therapy processes, and keep them followedDevelop short-term and long-term plans and objectives for rehabilitation services, and lead the team toward service goalsHandle daily staffing, scheduling, and resource planning so the clinic runs smoothlySupport hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing supervision of clinical staffReview monthly performance metrics and complete performance evaluations on timeRun regular team and clinic meetings to keep everyone aligned and informedOversee the purchasing of clinic supplies and manage the department budgetProtect the rights and dignity of both patients and employeesBecome an expert user of the clinic's software systems and help the team use them wellLead by example and model strong professional and behavioral standardsTake on other responsibilities as the clinic's needs evolve
What You BringMaster's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (MPT/DPT)Active state Physical Therapist license and current CPR certificationAt least 2 years of hands-on physical therapy experience in an outpatient settingLeadership or supervisory experience of 2+ years is strongly preferredSolid understanding of PT principles alongside business fundamentals such as budgeting, staffing, quality audits, and Total Quality Management (TQM)Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust with patients, families, staff, and leadershipA natural teacher who can educate patients and colleagues on PT concepts and techniquesA cost-conscious mindset and the ability to run an efficient department
Work EnvironmentStandard outpatient clinic setting, with occasional local travel within the communityThe role involves sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and patient transfers, along with regular computer work
