We are seeking a Project Accountant to support a client in the manufacturing sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong Accounts Payable (AP), reporting, and ERP experience to join a fast-paced team during a period of transition following a recent SAP upgrade.SAP experience is a huge plus! Experience with a large ERP system is required.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform Accounts Payable (AP) research, resolve discrepancies, and follow outstanding items through payment.Prepare and analyze Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GR/IR) reports and resolve related discrepancies.Research and resolve open purchase orders in both SAP ECC and S/4HANA.Maintain and analyze open purchase order reports and correct order line items as needed.Manage the scrap and disposal process, including coordinating approvals and maintaining recurring reports.Prepare and analyze daily Repair & Maintenance (R&M) reports.Generate and distribute inventory reports, including NOTFOUND, SAMPLES, MISSING, and other related reports.Prepare daily and weekly WTM/Kronos reports.Maintain maintenance counts, posting records, and update logs.Assist with Non-Conformance Report (NCR) tracking and related process development.Perform general accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution activities.Collaborate with management to research outstanding items and ensure timely follow-up.Provide ongoing accounting and reporting support following the SAP ECC to S/4HANA upgrade.QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred, but not required.Previous experience working with a large ERP system required.SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA experience strongly preferred.Strong Accounts Payable and GR/IR reporting experience.Experience researching and resolving invoice, payment, and purchase order discrepancies.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with existing VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Strong communication skills and the ability to follow through on outstanding issues with management.
