FocusLead a multidisciplinary MEP and fire protection engineering function across complex building and infrastructure projectsSet the technical direction for design delivery, quality standards, code compliance, constructability, and system performanceGuide engineering teams through project planning, staffing, coordination, and execution for both new construction and renovation workPartner closely with architecture, project management, and executive leadership to align technical delivery with business prioritiesSupport value driven engineering decisions that improve outcomes while maintaining safety, quality, and regulatory complianceOversee resource planning, team utilization, and delivery performance to keep projects on schedule and teams effectively deployedCoach, mentor, and develop engineering staff through performance feedback, growth planning, and day to day leadershipBuild and strengthen client relationships across institutional, government, transportation, and other regulated project environmentsContribute to business development by helping shape pursuits, proposals, scopes, pricing strategy, and go to market planningProvide leadership input on budgeting, forecasting, practice growth, and overall business performance
Skill Set15 or more years of experience within consulting MEP engineering design, with exposure to complex facilities and public facing projectsDemonstrated success in a senior leadership capacity with responsibility for team management, operational performance, or business unit resultsProfessional Engineer license in New York, requiredStrong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, and related building systems in both existing facilities and ground up environmentsExperience working with New York City or New York State agency standards, review processes, or project requirementsProficiency with AutoCAD, BIM or Revit, and related engineering design toolsComfort working with project management platforms and standard business softwareExcellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical recommendations in a clear, client friendly manner
Preferred BackgroundBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering requiredAdvanced degree or MBA preferredLEED accreditation preferred
