Part-Time Cashier at Walt Churchill's MarketWalt Churchill's Market is looking for a Part-Time Cashier at our Maumee, OH location. If you LOVE great food, deliver consistent QUALITY, RESPECT your co-workers, CARE about customers, and maintain a SAFE and CLEAN work environment, we want to talk to you!Job Summary:The Cashier reports to the Front End Manager and provides excellent customer service by interacting with every customer in a welcoming, courteous, friendly manner. Responsible for processing the customer's purchases quickly and accurately. Duties also include bagging customer purchases, answering customer questions and assisting in maintaining a clean and neat store.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Provide excellent customer service by giving customers full attention during any interactionGreet customers in a friendly mannerProvide customers with a fast and accurate transactionUtilize basic math skills to provide customers with accurate changeMemorize evolving product codes/PLUsResponsible for processing cash, check and electronic transactions accuratelyBag customers' groceries, keeping in mind the weight of each bag and separating unlike itemsConfirm proper identification for any purchase of alcoholAssist customers in locating store itemsEnsure checkout areas of the store are clean and neatMay be required to gather carts and baskets in absence of Carry OutAnswer incoming phone calls with the appropriate greeting and transfer when necessaryCommunicate with supervisor on duty/management regarding issues with equipment (e.g. scanners, scales, credit card machines, etc.) and suppliesPerform light cleaning/maintenance duties as assigned, including but not limited to, sweeping, dumping trash, cleaning restrooms, maintaining coffee grinder, cleaning coffee pots, making coffee, and fronting shelvesTake direction from Cashier SupervisorsAny other tasks assignedWe Offer:Become a WCM Owner!
