Big Brains Learning is a student-focused learning and career platform helping university students Learn, Build and Launch through practical courses, internships, projects, notes and career opportunities.Company: Big Brains LearningPosition: Deep Learning MentorEmployment Type: Contract BasedWork Mode: RemoteDepartment: Artificial IntelligenceContract Duration: Project or Contract BasedRole OverviewBig Brains Learning is looking for an experienced deep learning professional and mentor who can create and deliver practical Deep Learning course content for university students and aspiring AI professionals.The selected candidate will teach students how neural networks and deep learning models work and how to build practical AI applications using modern frameworks.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and structure Deep Learning course content according to an agreed curriculum.Deliver clear and practical deep learning lessons.Explain neural networks and deep learning fundamentals.Teach tensors, training, loss functions and optimization.Demonstrate feedforward neural networks and deep neural network architectures.Teach convolutional neural networks for computer vision.Introduce recurrent architectures and sequence modeling where applicable.Explain transfer learning and model fine-tuning.Teach model evaluation and performance improvement.Demonstrate practical deep learning workflows using Python and relevant frameworks.Guide students through practical AI projects and assignments.Review student implementations and provide constructive feedback.Answer student questions related to deep learning.Coordinate with the Big Brains team regarding curriculum and student progress.Course ContentThe course may cover neural networks, tensors, forward and backward propagation, loss functions, optimization, CNNs, sequence models, transfer learning, fine-tuning, model evaluation, PyTorch or TensorFlow and practical deep learning projects.The exact curriculum, course duration, number of sessions, projects and assignments will be mutually agreed upon before the contract begins.DeliverablesThe mentor will deliver agreed course sessions and learning materials and may provide notebooks, coding exercises, datasets, assignments, model examples, project guidance and code reviews.Contract and PaymentThis is a contract based position.Compensation will be mutually agreed upon according to the course scope, duration and responsibilities.Payment may be based on individual sessions, milestones, complete course delivery or another mutually agreed arrangement.RequirementsStrong practical experience in deep learning.Strong Python programming skills.Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow or similar frameworks.Good understanding of neural networks and model training.Experience with computer vision or natural language processing will be an advantage.Understanding of model evaluation and optimization.Ability to explain deep learning concepts clearly.Strong communication and mentoring skills.Ability to guide students through practical deep learning projects.Previous teaching or mentoring experience will be considered an advantage.Student MentoringThe mentor should focus on practical deep learning implementations and help students develop portfolio-ready AI projects.Quality ReviewCourse content and student projects may be reviewed by the Big Brains team to ensure technical accuracy and educational quality.ConfidentialityThe mentor agrees to maintain confidentiality regarding non-public information received from Big Brains.TerminationEither party may terminate the contract according to the termination conditions specified in the final agreement.BenefitsOpportunity to mentor university students.Opportunity to build a professional AI teaching portfolio.Opportunity to help students build practical deep learning projects.Potential for future course creation and mentoring contracts.ApplicationInterested candidates should provide their CV or LinkedIn profile, GitHub or AI portfolio, deep learning projects, teaching or mentoring experience if available, expected compensation and availability.Big Brains LearningLearn, Build and Launch
