Role Description The Junior Interior Designer role at ThoughtPlay Lab is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The individual in this role will support senior designers with concept development, space planning, and interior layouts for corporate and mixed-use environments. Day-to-day tasks include preparing mood boards, assisting with FF&E selections, producing construction and presentation drawings, and coordinating with consultants and vendors under guidance. The Junior Interior Designer will participate in client meetings, contribute to design documentation, and help ensure that project deliverables are aligned with design intent, timelines, and quality standards. This role offers mentorship, hands-on project involvement, and exposure to innovative, human-centered design solutions. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Interior Design and Space Planning for commercial or workplace projects. Foundational understanding of Architecture and coordination with allied design disciplines. Ability to develop accurate Construction Drawings and assist in design documentation. Experience or training in FF&E selection, including finishes, furniture, and lighting. Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite). Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Strong visual communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow design direction. Effective collaboration skills, time management, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced studio environment.
