School Social Worker | Illinois Full-Time | 2026–2027 School Year Support Student Success Inside and Beyond the Classroom Our organization is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to support students in an Illinois school district throughout the 2026–2027 school year. This opportunity is a strong fit for a social work professional who is passionate about student advocacy and helping young people navigate challenges that may impact their learning, behavior, relationships, attendance, and overall well-being. What You'll Do As part of the school support team, you'll provide social-emotional services tailored to individual student needs while helping identify concerns and develop effective strategies for addressing them. Key responsibilities include:

• Provide individual and group social-emotional support.
• Develop and implement appropriate student interventions.
• Monitor student progress and document services provided.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning.
• Connect students and families with appropriate school and community resources.
• Identify barriers affecting student learning, behavior, attendance, or participation.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service professionals.

Requirements LSW or LCSW preferred, based on district requirements. School-based experience with children or adolescents preferred. Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program. Familiarity with student support services and school-based resources. Knowledge of social-emotional development and behavioral interventions. Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement.
