The Project Delivery Technical Lead owns end-to-end technical delivery of IT infrastructure projects, transitions, and offshoring programs across regions. The role bridges business and development teams, cross-functional technical teams, and senior stakeholders to plan, manage, and implement change effectively. Operating at both strategic and delivery level, the role owns technical risk, drives resourcing and financial compliance, and leads senior resources to ensure consistent, high-quality project outcomes. 100% Qualification & Experience 10 years in IT infrastructure delivery, with 4 years in a technical lead / delivery lead capacity Proven experience managing and influencing senior/experienced resources without direct line authority Strong working knowledge of at least 2-3 of: Wintel, Middleware (Kubernetes, JBoss, MQ), Database (SQL/Oracle), Cloud (AWS/Azure), Network, Security Ops, infrastructure and application platforms. Proven experience managing multi-region or multi-stakeholder technical transitions/offshoring programs Strong cross-functional team leadership - able to coordinate technical, business, and development stakeholders toward shared delivery goals Solid grasp of Release, Change, Incident, and Problem Management (ITIL-aligned) Experience managing vendor/third-party delivery relationships Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills Excellent Project Delivery Reporting, and MIS Experience with project financials - resourcing, billing, margin tracking Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience Demonstrated delivery of infrastructure consolidation, migration, or remediation programs Group Responsibilities Technical Lead technical delivery of infrastructure projects (migrations, upgrades, transitions, offshoring/onboarding) from design through go-live Own project-level technical risk, dependencies, and issue resolution across cross-functional technical teams (Wintel, Middleware, Database, Network, Security Ops, Workplace Services) Work with business and development teams to plan, manage, and implement changes as part of project delivery Drive transition/knowledge-transfer (KT) plans for offshored or resourced workstreams, ensuring service continuity Contribute to CMDB, Change, Problem, and Incident Management processes as they relate to project delivery Support capability ownership transitions (e.g., shifting service/role ownership between regions) Team Leadership Lead and coordinate cross-functional technical teams, managing key stakeholders and senior resources to drive project delivery tasks Manage and influence senior/experienced resources without direct line authority Mentor and upskill team members; support cross-skilling across infrastructure domains Manage workload distribution across the team and ensure delivery quality and timelines Functional / Domain Deep working knowledge across infrastructure domains: Wintel, Middleware, Database, Cloud, Network, Security Ops Solid grasp of Release, Change, Incident, and Problem Management (ITIL-aligned) Identify and execute productivity/efficiency initiatives (capacity absorption, automation, process improvement) without headcount growth Business / Client Engagement Act as primary technical point of contact for stakeholders, vendors, and third-party providers Translate complex technical topics into clear communication for both technical and non-technical audiences Report progress, risks, and financials to senior/leadership stakeholders Administrative / Compliance Manage delivery against contractual SLAs, billing/resourcing compliance, and financial targets (revenue, cost, margin) Contribute to RFPs, contract reviews, or compliance/regulatory documentation as needed Ensure compliance with enterprise security, regulatory, and risk management requirements Allianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
