Technical Manager

Simplify Healthcare is looking for a highly experienced Technical Manager to lead engineering teams building next-generation healthcare administration platforms. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise in full-stack. NET and React development, Postgre SQL database design, Azure cloud infrastructure, and Dev Ops practices — and has a strong track record of technical leadership, architecture decision-making, and team development in a compliance-sensitive environment.

You will own end-to-end technical delivery, guide your team through complex integration and infrastructure challenges, and ensure our solutions meet the highest standards of security, reliability, and scalability.

Technical Leadership Provide technical vision and hands-on guidance across full-stack. NET 10 and React web application development. Drive architecture decisions for APIs, microservices, database design, messaging systems (Azure Service Bus, Rabbit MQ), and frontend architecture. Review and approve code, system designs, and architecture documents; enforce engineering standards and best practices. Lead technical deep-dives, root cause analyses, and resolution of critical production incidents.

Engineering Management Manage a team of 10–20 engineers across backend, frontend, database, and Dev Ops disciplines.

Cloud Infrastructure & Dev Ops Own Azure cloud infrastructure decisions including App Services, Postgre SQL Flexible Server, Azure Service Bus, Application Insights, and VNet/Private Endpoint configurations. Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure Dev Ops; champion automation, quality gates, and deployment reliability.

Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with Product Management, VP of Engineering, QA, and Dev Ops teams on roadmap planning, technical feasibility, and delivery timelines.

Deep Expertise Expected In . NET ecosystem — from legacy. NET Framework through modern. NET 10, including middleware, DI, background services, and Ticker Q or Hangfire job scheduling. React — component architecture, hooks, state management (Redux), and performance optimization for complex web applications. Postgre SQL — schema design, query optimization, indexing strategies, CDC patterns, PL/pg SQL, and hosting on Azure Postgre SQL Flexible Server (Premium SSD v2, read replicas, Private Endpoint). Azure platform — App Service P3v3/P4v3, VNet Integration, Private Endpoints, Azure AD / B2 C, Service Bus topics/subscriptions, and Application Insights telemetry. Dev Ops — YAML pipeline authoring in Azure Dev Ops, multi-stage deployments, artifact management, branch strategies (Git Flow / trunk-based), and automated quality gates.

Qualifications Required Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years in a technical lead or engineering management role. Proven track record of delivering production-grade full-stack applications using. NET and React. Strong hands-on experience with Postgre SQL database administration and optimization. Deep familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services and Azure Dev Ops.

Preferred Experience with healthcare payer/provider domain — benefits administration, claims, or provider management platforms. Familiarity with Anthropic Claude API or LLM integration for engineering automation (e.g., AI-assisted code review in CI pipelines). Azure certifications (AZ-204, AZ-400, or AZ-305). Experience with OAuth 2.0 / Open ID Connect, m TLS, and enterprise SSO patterns (Azure AD B2 C). Prior exposure to event-driven architectures using Azure Service Bus and Rabbit MQ.
