Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) Location: Denver, Colorado Salary: $145,000 - $200,000 per year Travel: 25-50% Visa Sponsorship: The client is open to sponsoring H-1B visas. About the Role We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to deploy and integrate AI solutions in real-world customer environments. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you will work across software, Linux, networking, edge hardware, sensors, data systems, and AI to take solutions from initial problem definition through production deployment and troubleshooting. What You'll Do Own end-to-end deployment of customer-facing AI and edge solutions. Work directly with customers and partners to understand requirements and deliver measurable results. Deploy and operate systems involving Linux, Docker/Kubernetes, networking, sensors, connectivity, and AI inference . Integrate customer OT/IT systems, APIs, data sources, and workflows . Troubleshoot issues across hardware, networking, data, applications, and AI. Build scripts, tools, configurations, and reusable deployment playbooks. Document lessons learned and help improve future deployments. Travel approximately 25-50% to customer sites. What We're Looking For 10+ years building and operating production software or systems. Strong Linux and production troubleshooting experience. Experience with Python and/or Go , shell scripting, and REST/gRPC APIs. Hands-on experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes . Strong networking knowledge, including VPNs, TLS, firewalls, Wi-Fi, LTE/5G , and network troubleshooting. Customer-facing deployment or field engineering experience. Strong communication, problem-solving, and ownership mindset. Willingness to travel 25-50% . Preferred Experience Edge computing or hybrid cloud/edge environments. Hardware, sensors, IoT, or connected devices. Production AI/ML, AI inference, LLMs, or AI agents . OT/IT integration. Observability, packet capture, and advanced production troubleshooting.
