Join the Endocrinology Clinic, where you'll build meaningful relationships with patients while helping manage complex endocrine conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, and hormonal health concerns. This fast-paced ambulatory clinic, open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, requires at least one year of triage experience and supports four physicians and one dietitian, with an additional physician and nurse practitioner joining the team this fall. The Triage RN will manage outpatient telephone triage, assess patient symptoms, handle a high volume of patient calls and messages, coordinate care with providers, and provide education that makes a lasting impact on patients' long-term health and wellness within a nationally recognized health system committed to exceptional patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Two years experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies.
  • Requires ability to coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner.
  • Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
  • Requires ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
