Bus DriverPosition: Bus DriverHours: 8 hours per day 5 days per week 10 monthsSalary: $25.54 + per hourRequirements: Ability to obtain CDL Class B driver's license with passenger and school bus endorsements with current school bus physical. (Bloomington Schools will assist)Job Description:Insure the safety, welfare, and appropriate conduct of passengers on the vehicleOperate the vehicle with care to ensure efficiencyConduct a complete daily pre-trip inspection of the bus and any special equipmentKeep the inside of the bus clean and free of debrisAbility to drive your route in any bus as directed by DispatchAble to read maps and or follow driving directionsFollow route copies preciselyReport on time for all assigned dutiesDeliver outstanding service to: Students Parents School staff Transportation co-workers Law enforcement officialsShow courteous behavior to driving publicFollow operational procedures in emergency situationsBe aware of these procedures and participate in safety events or evacuation drillsComplete required paperwork and submit in a timely mannerParticipate in ongoing training and attend annual evaluationsMust ensure that all rules, laws, and policies set by Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Bloomington School District are strictly adhered toExperience: Previous working with children a plusHours: 4+ hrs. per day/ split shift, 5 days per week, 10 months a yearBenefits:Bloomington Public Schools offers a variety of benefits to help take care of employees' health and well-being.
