Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives. Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Nevada to cover Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, and Pahrump. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday hours will vary between 4:00 am – 6:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday 5:30 am - 2:00 pm; additional days/hours as needed Job Responsibilities:
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Drawing on pediatrics to geriatrics
- In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a lab assistant license filed with the NV Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
