Job Description – QA Manager (Functional QA – Capital Markets)

We are looking for a QA Manager with 10–15 years of overall experience , including 8+ years of hands-on Functional/Manual Testing experience. The ideal candidate should be capable of driving QA strategy while remaining technically hands-on, including reviewing automation/code, SQL queries, and APIs as part of the delivery lifecycle.

Mandatory Skills:

• 10–15 years of total IT experience with 8+ years in Functional/Manual Testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Defect Lifecycle, and Agile methodologies .
• Hands-on experience in Functional, Integration, Regression, System, and UAT testing .
• Strong SQL skills for backend data validation.
• Experience with JIRA, ALM, Azure DevOps , or similar test management tools.
• Hands-on API testing using Postman or SOAP UI .
• Ability to review technical solutions, automation scripts, and code as part of QA governance.

Candidates must have hands-on experience in Capital Markets projects with exposure to one or more of the following:

• Portfolio Management
• Position Management
• Corporate Actions
• Cash & Securities Settlement
• Market Data
• Pricing & Valuation
• P&L
• Risk Management (Market Risk, Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk)

Note: This is a managerial role requiring both leadership and hands-on technical capability. Candidates should be comfortable participating in technical discussions, reviewing code/automation approaches, mentoring QA teams, and working closely with developers and architects in an Agile delivery environment.
