A nonprofit mental health organization is seeking an experienced Unit Director/Supervisor to oversee services for adults withsevere and persistent mental illness in a community-based residential program. Key Responsibilities Supervise, train, and support case management/counseling staff. Oversee rehabilitative and case management services using person-centered recovery principles. Provide individual and group counseling as needed. Coordinate services with outpatient mental health clinics, hospitals, physicians, families, and other providers. Oversee service plans, psychosocial documentation, discharge planning, and client records. Provide crisis-management oversight and participate in an on-call rotation. Ensure program compliance with New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field. Must meet Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) requirements. Master’s degree plus 1 year of related experience OR bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of related experience. Supervisory experience preferred. Strong background working with individuals with serious mental illness in a behavioral health, residential, or community-based setting.
