This position reports to: Production Supervisor Your Role and Responsibilities The Tool Room is responsible for machining, repairing, and maintaining precision tooling, fixtures, and components used in manufacturing and general operations. This role requires expertise in CNC and manual machining, blueprint reading, and precision measurement techniques. The machinist will work closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support tooling needs, troubleshoot issues, and improve manufacturing efficiency. Key Responsibilities Machining and Tooling Fabrication Operate manual and CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.) to fabricate tooling and components. Program, set up, and run CNC machines using G-code. Modify and repair molds, dies, jigs, and fixtures as instructed. Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.) to ensure part accuracy. Tooling Maintenance and Troubleshooting Diagnose and repair worn or damaged tooling, ensuring production continuity. Perform preventative maintenance on fixtures and cutting tools. Work with engineers and production teams to identify and resolve tooling issues. Blueprint Interpretation and Documentation Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD
