This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer with strong diesel engine experience to work on a fleet of locomotives across the UK, providing both planned and reactive maintenance to ensure maximum reliability and operational performance. The Role Working predominantly as a lone engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs, fault finding, and modifications across customer sites throughout the UK. You will play a vital role in ensuring fleet availability while delivering exceptional service standards. Key Responsibilities Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system faults. Complete reliability inspections and preventative maintenance checks. Identify potential fleet issues and recommend corrective actions. Participate in a rolling day/night on-call rota. Provide technical support and advice to customers and colleagues.
