Our Sales and Logistics internship will allow you to learn all aspects of a third-party logistics (3PL) sales career by assisting the freight brokerage team. PLS interns are treated as employees and are always held to a high standard to represent PLS in a positive light. The program is based on our full-time Account Executive Trainee role.Job Functions Research & learn industry trendsGenerate leads and develop clients through cold calling industry leadsNegotiate client and carrier freight ratesLead, facilitate, and resolve client service issuesLiaise between shipper, consignee, and carrierParticipate in projects and presentationsConduct other duties as required by business needs or as assigned Who We Are Over our 30+ year history, PLS Logistics Services has become one of the country’s top 25 third-party logistics (3PL) services providers. How long is the internship?The internship lasts 10 weeks at 20-40 hours per week.Is this a paid internship? Our interns are valued members of our teams. We offer a $15/hour wage AND a 3% commission on all sales. What is your training program?Training starts with a Sales Boot Camp during your first week at the office where you'll learn the ins and outs of the industry and your role.What can I expect after training?On week 2, you will partner with a Sr. Account Executive who will help you manage your clients and execute service requests.
