My client is looking for a Program Manager, Technical Training to lead the development of our field technicians, project teams, and emerging technical leaders. This is a highly visible role focused on building technical training programs, developing talent, improving field performance, and helping raise the standard of execution across the organization.
What You’ll DoDesign and deliver technical training programs for technicians and production teamsBuild structured onboarding, career development, and technical competency programsFacilitate hands-on, virtual, classroom, and field-based trainingCreate training materials, assessments, guides, videos, and certification programsCoach technicians and emerging leaders on technical, operational, and client-facing skillsPartner with managers to identify skill gaps and develop individualized development plansHelp standardize technical best practices, operating procedures, and quality standardsConduct field observations and project-site audits to evaluate performance, safety, quality, and client serviceProvide real-time coaching and actionable feedback based on field performanceTranslate lessons learned from live projects into future training and development programsPartner with manufacturers and industry organizations on training and certification opportunities
What We’re Looking For5+ years of experience in live events, audiovisual systems, entertainment technology, production services, staging, lighting, video, rigging, or a related technical field3+ years of experience in technical training, workforce development, coaching, education, or instructional programsStrong ability to teach both technical concepts and hands-on skillsExcellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skillsExperience developing training materials, curriculum, or learning programsStrong organizational and project management skillsAbility to xzbcwsv build credibility with technicians, project managers, and operational leadersWillingness to travel as needed for training and field support
Preferred ExperienceCorporate AV, live events, broadcast, touring, production services, entertainment technology, or systems integrationLearning Management Systems (LMS)Apprenticeship, internship, or technician-development programsDegree in Education, Instructional Design, Technical Education, Production Technology, Engineering, or a related field
