Job Title: Data Analyst – API & Data Lake

Job Overview

We are looking for a Data Analyst with strong experience in data analysis, data lake environments, Spark, MongoDB, APIs, and reporting. The resource should have a good understanding of commercial banking data structures and the ability to analyze data across multiple banking domains, including Mainframe, CCM, Payments, Cards, Deposits, and Lending.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret data within the Citizens Data Lake environment.
• Understand and work with data structures across various commercial banking systems.
• Perform data analysis using Apache Spark and MongoDB .
• Work with APIs to extract, integrate, and validate data from different systems.
• Develop and maintain data reports and provide meaningful insights to business stakeholders.
• Understand data relationships and mappings between different source systems.
• Analyze data corresponding to:
• Mainframe
• CCM
• Payments – ACH, FED, etc.
• Cards
• Deposits
• Lending
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting across different data sources.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand data requirements and resolve data-related issues.

Required Skills

• Strong Data Analysis experience.
• Understanding of Data Lake architecture and data structures.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark .
• Experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
• Good understanding of REST APIs / API-based data integration .
• Experience in reporting and data analysis .
• Strong SQL and data querying skills.
• Ability to understand complex data structures and relationships.
• Strong understanding of banking/financial data , particularly commercial banking.
