Safety Supervisor – Job Description

Job Title: Safety Supervisor

Department: Safety / EHS

Experience: 2–5 years

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor safety practices at the workplace/site.

Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable safety regulations.

Conduct daily safety inspections and identify potential hazards.

Ensure workers use appropriate PPE such as helmets, safety shoes, gloves, harnesses, and goggles.

Conduct toolbox talks and safety training for employees and workers.

Monitor work permits, work-at-height activities, electrical work, hot work, and other high-risk activities.

Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and prepare reports.

Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and incident documentation.

Coordinate emergency response, fire drills, and evacuation procedures.

Take corrective and preventive actions to reduce workplace accidents.

Coordinate with site management, contractors, and workers regarding safety requirements.

Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions at the site.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Safety, Industrial Safety, or a related field.

2–5 years of experience in construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, or a similar industry.

Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and PPE.

Good communication and leadership skills.

Ability to identify risks and implement corrective actions.

Basic computer knowledge and report-writing skills.

Relevant safety certifications such as IOSH/NEBOSH/OSHA will be an advantage.
