Designation: Senior Counselor – Admissions Team
Location: UDIT Gurugram (Sector 68), Gurugram, Haryana – 122101

Reports to: Executive Director – Institutional Partnerships & Growth
About the Role
UDIT is looking for a proactive, target-oriented, and student-focused Senior Counselor to join the Admissions Team. The role involves counselling prospective students and parents about UDIT and its programme offerings, managing prospective student enquiries, conducting database outreach, and supporting the admissions team in achieving enrolment targets.
The incumbent will be responsible for building and maintaining professional relationships with schools, school counsellors, educators, students, consultants, and other key stakeholders. The role also involves conducting information sessions, school visits, education fairs, workshops, campus visits, and local-level outreach activities. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrate initiative, and be comfortable working in a target-driven environment.
Education & Experience
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant work experience.
- Freshers with exceptional communication, interpersonal, and counselling skills may also be considered.
- Preference will be given to candidates based in or around Gurugram, particularly near Sector 68 and Sector 69.
- Strong communication skills in English and Hindi, both written and spoken.
- Strong interpersonal and professional conduct.
- Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Good email etiquette, note-taking, and writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Admissions & Student Counselling
- Counsel prospective students and parents about UDIT and its programme offerings through database outreach and the ERP/CRM system.
- Handle prospective student enquiries and provide relevant information regarding programmes, admissions, and the student journey.
- Make a minimum of 80–90 calls per day and follow up on leads to meet assigned targets.
- Work towards achieving admission and enrolment targets set by the team.
- Maintain regular and timely follow-up with prospective students throughout the admissions process.
- Use the CRM system to manage and regularly update prospective student records.
School & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain professional relationships with schools and key stakeholders, including Principals, School Counselors, Educators, and Students.
- Liaise with external agencies such as education consultants and design coaching institutes.
- Conduct information sessions for parents and prospective students through school fairs, presentations, education fairs, campus walk-ins, and telephonic interactions.
- Coordinate with schools and other stakeholders for outreach activities and student engagement initiatives.
Outreach & Marketing Activities
- Travel across Delhi/NCR and other locations in India to conduct workshops and participate in school fairs and outreach activities.
- Plan and execute local-level marketing and outreach campaigns.
- Coordinate and manage on-campus activities such as campus visits, workshops, and information sessions.
- Support the Admissions and Institutional Partnerships & Growth teams in outreach initiatives and other admission-related activities.
- Represent UDIT professionally at school visits, education fairs, workshops, and other external events.
Required Skills & Abilities
The Counselor is the face of the Institute and should possess and exhibit the following skills and abilities:
- Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi, both written and spoken.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional approach.
- Strong counselling, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Target-oriented approach with strong follow-up and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Good email etiquette, note-taking, and writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and maintain a collaborative approach.
- Willingness to travel for school visits, workshops, fairs, and outreach activities.
Working Conditions
Working Days: 6 days a week with 1 weekly off, as decided by the Reporting Manager.
Timings: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
Note: Working days and timings may change based on institutional and business requirements.
