RRT - Full Time

Under the direction of the Medical Director and the direct supervision of the Manager of the Respiratory Care Department, the Respiratory Therapist will initiate and administer all respiratory therapy modalities according to established policies, procedures and protocols at Metrowest Medical Center. Therapy will be administered to patients with cardiopulmonary dysfunction/disability or for preventive purposes. Ensures quality and safe delivery of care to patients of all ages.
Set up changes and monitors associated equipment.
Performs chest physical therapy, chest percussions and vibrations, postural drainage, incentive exercises, and ambulation exercises as indicated.
Assesses patient respiratory status, observes patient adjustment/reaction to therapy, and evaluates the appropriateness of all therapy
enters clinical data regarding therapy administered and its effect.
Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Therapy program required
A minimum of 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience in an acute care setting preferred.
Certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
It is strongly encouraged that CRT therapists advance to RRT within 2 years of employment.
Maintains current licensure by the State of Massachusetts as a Respiratory Therapist.
