Job Description

Location: Mumbai (Head Office)

Reports To Country Manager – Esco Medical & Allwin Medical Devices, India

Team: Leads a team of Regional/Area Sales Managers and Business Development Executives across India

Travel: Extensive domestic travel (approx. 50–60%) across IVF centres, hospitals, and distributor markets

ABOUT US

Esco Medical and Allwin Medical Devices are part of the Esco Lifesciences Group, a global life sciences and healthcare technology company. Esco Medical designs and manufactures advanced ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) capital equipment, including the MIRI time-lapse incubator platform used by leading IVF centres worldwide. Allwin Medical Devices complements this with a comprehensive portfolio of IVF consumables. Together, the two brands support IVF clinics and hospitals across India with a full-spectrum solution — from capital equipment to daily-use consumables — backed by clinical training and after-sales service.

As the India business scales toward its FY26–FY29 growth targets, we are building out a stronger national commercial team to deepen clinical relationships, expand geographic coverage, and convert market share from legacy competitors.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The National Sales Manager – IVF Products will own the national sales strategy, revenue targets, and team leadership for Esco Medical's ART capital equipment and consumables business in India. This is a high-visibility, individual-contributor-plus-team-leadership role reporting directly to the Country Manager, responsible for driving both new capital equipment placements and recurring consumables revenue across IVF centres, hospital ART units, and fertility chains nationally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own and deliver the national sales plan and revenue targets for IVF incubators IVF consumables portfolio.

• Lead, coach, and performance-manage a team of Regional/Area Sales Managers and Business Development Executives across defined territories.

• Build and manage direct relationships with key IVF centres, fertility chains, hospital ART departments, embryologists, and clinical directors (KOLs) to drive equipment adoption and consumables pull-through.

• Manage and develop the distributor network where applicable, including onboarding, target-setting, and performance reviews, while supporting the transition toward a direct/hybrid go-to-market model.

• Own the capital equipment sales cycle end-to-end — lead generation, clinical demonstrations, tender/quotation management, commercial negotiation, and order closure.

• Ensure consumables reorder cycles are tracked and grown through structured account management and cross-sell of the entire portfolio.

• Provide accurate sales forecasting, pipeline reporting, and market intelligence (competitor activity, pricing, new IVF centre openings) to leadership.

• Collaborate with Marketing, Regulatory, and Service teams on product launches, GeM listings, tenders, and after-sales support to ensure a seamless customer experience.

• Represent the company at key industry conferences, IVF society events, and clinical workshops.

• Ensure adherence to pricing policy, credit control norms, and distributor/dealer agreement terms across the country.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience & Education

• 10–15 years of progressive sales experience in the IVF/ART, fertility, or medical devices industry, with at least 3–5 years in a national or multi-regional sales leadership role.

• Proven track record of selling capital equipment (preferably ART/embryology, diagnostics, or critical-care medical devices) into hospitals and specialty clinics.

• Prior experience managing both a direct sales team and a distributor network is strongly preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent management qualification is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong clinical and commercial acumen — able to engage credibly with embryologists, clinicians, and hospital administrators.

• Demonstrated people-leadership skills, with experience setting territory targets, running performance reviews, and developing a sales team.

• Sound understanding of tender processes, GeM listings, and institutional/government sales in the medical devices space.

• Strong negotiation and key-account management skills, including pricing and credit-terms discussions.

• Data-driven approach to forecasting, pipeline management, and territory planning.

• Willingness to travel extensively across India.

WHAT WE OFFER

• An opportunity to lead the national sales function for a fast-growing, high-visibility segment of the Esco Lifesciences portfolio.

• A direct reporting line to the Country Manager with significant influence over India go-to-market strategy.

• Competitive fixed compensation with a performance-linked incentive structure.

• Access to a global product portfolio backed by strong clinical training and marketing support.
