About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead process optimization and innovation within their facility in East London . This role is crucial for enhancing production efficiency, improving product quality, and implementing new manufacturing technologies. You will work closely with production teams, R&D, and quality assurance to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure the plant operates at peak performance. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Lead and manage engineering projects, from conception through to implementation and validation.
• Design and specify new manufacturing equipment and tooling, working closely with vendors.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement robust corrective actions.
• Collaborate with R&D and design teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering within a relevant industry.
• Proven expertise in process optimization , Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software and manufacturing simulation tools.
• Excellent project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Experience with automation and advanced manufacturing technologies is highly desirable.
